How to Find and Book a Place

  1. On lokapoin.com, enter your destination by city or simply start with LokaBasic or LokaFolk button.
  2. On the listing result page, enter your destination (or it will automatically appear), travel dates, and number of guests.
  3. If you want, use the sort and filter (for example, price range) to narrow your search result.
  4. Click search to refresh the result and scroll through the listings result.
  5. Click on a listing to open it. To learn more about it, read the description, check the available facilities, review the house rules, location also local attraction nearby, and see reviews that other guests have left for the host.
  6. If you’re ready to book, click request to book in the listing window.
  7. You can also save your favourite places by clicking “Save” button under the “Request to Book” button keep them on hand for later or share with your friends.
  1. For the most accurate results, always start your search by choosing your destination, number of guests, and dates.
  2. To use sort and filters function, they are available as well on the left side.
  3. You can sort based on Popularity, Rating, and Price.
  4. You can also apply some filters based on Property type, Price, Activities, and Facilities by clicking the box besides the filter item.
  5. Click search to refresh the result and scroll through the listings result.
  1. On a listing, click Request to Book on the left side.
  2. Review your reservation details to make sure everything is correct.
  3. Click Confirm Request and you will be directed to My Booking window.
  4. Make sure your current booking status turns into “Waiting for Confirmation”
  5. Please wait for the host response. The host has 3 hours to reply, but most reply within less than an hour.
  6. After that, you’ll be notified by an email in your inbox whether your booking request is accepted or rejected.
  7. Click the link attached on the message to continue to payment (if your booking request is accepted)
  8. In the directed confirmation window, click continue to payment.
  9. Complete the payment process handled by our partner, MidTrans.
  10. After the payment process completed, you’ll be redirected to My Booking window and see your booking status turns into “Payment Processing”
  11. Wait for some few minutes until the booking status turns into “Booking Completed”
  12. Your booking process is finished and you can always check your on-going trip in My Booking.

Host has 3 hours to officially accept or decline your booking request. You'll be updated by email about the status of your booking request. More than half of all reservation requests are accepted within an hour of being received.

  1. Find your booking and update the booking status in My Booking.
  2. To find My Booking button you can directly click a button above right the page (header).
  • Waiting for Confirmation: A guest is waiting for a host to respond to a reservation request. The host has 3 hours to respond before the request expires.
  • Continue to Payment: A host accepted a guest's booking request and our system is waiting for you to check your email then continue to fulfil the payment.
  • Payment Processing: You have completed the payment and our partner MidTrans is processing your payment within few minutes.
  • Booking Completed: Your booking is finished and you are ready for your trip. Find the booking receipt by clicking the listing on My Booking.
  • Declined: A host declined a guest's booking request with various reason, mostly are because the availability mistake. No charge is made to the guest. You can make another booking to another listing.
  1. Guests need to have this info completely filled out before they can make a booking request. This info helps host to know who to expect, and how to contact the guest.
  2. Lokapoin’s requirements info for guests include:
    • Full name
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • ID Number
    • Address
    • Guest Information and travel purpose
    • Some hosts may also ask guests provide ID Card, Marriage Document, etc before booking their space.

Yes. If the request hasn’t been accepted you can withdraw the request and send a new one by contacting Lokapoin Customer Service.

To make a change in terms of number of guest, guest information, etc, you can contact Lokapoin Customer Service.

You can cancel a booking request by contacting Lokapoin Customer Service.

You can cancel a completed booking (finished payment) by contacting Lokapoin Customer Service.

  3. Cancelling a completed booking may subject to a cancelation policy (charge fee, etc)

If your reservation request is declined by the host or expires, meaning the host didn’t respond within 3 hours, no charge is made for the reservation and you’re free to book with another host. We urge our hosts to keep their calendars up to date and respond to requests in a timely manner. But, sometimes situations come up that prevent this from happening.

If you cancel a reservation, your refund amount is determined by our cancellation policy and how close to your trip you are at the time of your cancellation. Most of our transaction is non-refundable, so please carefully make sure you book the best listing and fill out correct data.

Your payment information is collected when your booking request is accepted and you are agree to continue to payment. Our payment third party (MidTrans) will charge you based on the price you seen on booking confirmation page.

If your trip has ended, you won't be able to submit a change request. Instead, you'll need to submit a new booking request to your host. If the host accepts your request, your reservation will be updated and you’ll be charged as if the previous booking. If the request is declined or you don’t receive a response, your reservation will stay the same.

Lokapoin provides Flexible, Moderate, and Strict policy to protect both hosts and guests;

  • Flexible: Cancelation is fully refundable above 14 days before check in date
  • Moderate: Cancelation is half-refundable above 14 days before check in date
  • Strict: Cancelation is non-refundable within 14 days before check in date

Yes. We’ll automatically send form request the payment method you used when you booked the reservation. Keep in mind that it may take your payment provider up to 7 business days to deposit the money into your account.

If your reservation is cancelled by your host you'll have two options:

  • Transfer your payment to a new Lokapoin booking
  • Get a full refund

No. We just accept Indonesia Rupiah and Dollar in advance.

My Account and Setting

  1. If you don't have a Lokapoin account yet, go to lokapoin.com and click Sign Up on the above page.
  2. You can sign up using your email address, Facebook account, or Google account. Signing up and creating an Lokapoin account is free.
  3. After you sign up and verify your account, go to Sign In.

  2. Enter the data required such as updated email, phone number, ID Card, picture, etc.
  3. Click Verify

Having a verified phone number gives your hosts, guests, and Airbnb a way to contact you about your reservations or your account. Hosts are required to verify their phone numbers before listing their homes, and guests must have a verified phone number before booking a reservation. Your account

To deactivate your account:

  1. Go to My Profile on lokapoin.com (you will be prompted to log in to your account, if you are not already).
  2. Click Deactivate my account

If you know your current password, but you want to change it:

  1. Go to My Profile on lokapoin.com
  2. Click Edit My Profile
  3. Under Change Your Password enter your password and follow the instructions on screen

Become a host

  3. Follow the instruction and fill out the application for directly
